The Sound of Music
October 17th to 25th, 2025

The Sound of Music is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It is based on the 1949 memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp family Singers. Set in Austria on the eve of the Anschluss in 1938, the musical tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as governess to a large family while she decides whether to become a nun. She falls in love with the children, and eventually their widowed father, Captain von Trapp. He is ordered to accept a commission in the German Navy, but he opposes the Nazis. He and Maria decide on a plan to flee Austria with the children.

Directed by Cindy Campbell with Musical Direction by Michael Nelson, and produced on behalf of QAAW by David Myles.

About tickets:

Ticket prices for our performances are $25 for general admission and $5 for children 14 years of age and under.
(tickets at the door are $28 and $8)
Your tickets are:

  • Scannable! Tickets will now come with a QR Code that will be scanned when you arrive at front of house.

  • Shareable! You can now text, email, or print out and deliver tickets to friends and family if you are purchasing as a gift or on behalf of a larger group.

  • Electronic! Your tickets can now be added to the electronic Wallet App on your phone, if you wish.

  • Multiple ways to redeem! To redeem your tickets on the night of the performance, you can print the tickets and bring them with you, you can show us the tickets from your email app on your phone, you can show us the tickets in your wallet app, and even if you forgot your tickets at home, we can look you up in our front of house app and make sure you get your seat!
