Quick As A Wink Theatre Society is holding open auditions for their upcoming production of Matilda.
Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays from 1pm-5pm starting on December 7th
Ages 7 and up. Parents will be asked to accompany their children (ages 7-12) to rehearsals, or arrange for another adult to supervise them during the rehearsal time.
No experience necessary. Quick As A Wink prides itself on taking actors of all skill levels, from first timers to experienced actors, and teaching skills required to perform for a live audience. Our mission includes the education of community members in theatre and performing arts!
When: Auditions will be held the following times:
Tuesday, Nov 12 from 6-8pm
Saturday, Nov 16 from 1-3pm
Where: King’s-Edgehill School Theatre
What is Expected:
EVERYONE please prepare this section of “When I Grow Up” from the show (if you are able, please also learn the harmony at the end)

Everyone will participate in a group dance: wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move in
If you are 15 years old and over, and auditioning for a singing role, please prepare a 30 second - 1 minute selection of a song that showcases your range and acting abilities
If you are 14 years old or younger, we will teach you any additional music needed at the audition
Some individuals will be asked to do cold readings

Rehearsals are scheduled for Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., starting December 7.
Show dates will be 7pm on May 28, 29, 30 and June 5 and 6 with special 2 p.m. matinees May 31 and June 6 and 7.
There may be one rehearsal between the two show weekends.
Full attendance during the rehearsal process and during production week is a requirement. Attendance concerns should be brought to the attention of the directors well in advance of the conflict date.
All participants will be given a rehearsal schedule. Conflicts should be brought to the attention of the director immediately upon receipt of this schedule.

Volunteer Positions Available:
Quick As A Wink Theatre Society is always looking for new talent both on stage and off. Our crew working behind the scenes are instrumental in helping bring our visions to life and for this production of Matilda we are looking for:
Costume Team - We are in need of several volunteers to help sew and design costumes, as well as go shopping at second hand stores looking for specific items.
Scenic Designer - We are in need of someone to take the lead on the scenic painting team.
Scenic Painters - We are in need of several painters for set scenes
Fundraising Captain - Someone to organize and track the fundraising goals
Set Construction - We are always looking for new volunteers to help the team build the set.
Front of House - Volunteers needed to work with Jan and Yvonne, our FOH Managers.
