JOB OPPORTUNITY: PR/Marketing Assistant and Summer Theatre Day-Camp Leader

Quick As A Wink Theatre Society (QAAW), located in Windsor, is seeking a qualified, energetic, and passionate person to fill the role of a PR/Marketing Assistant and Summer Theatre Day-Camp Leader. 

Employment Length: 12-14 weeks, beginning May 9, 2016

Pay: 10.70 hr

*must be a student enrolled in a post-secondary institution for 2016-2017
*experiencing in marketing
*experience coaching and working with students (theatre/music experience an asset) 
*experience organizing and facilitating lesson plans and/or programs for youth
*excellent communication skills and basic computer skills
*must be reliable and have excellent organization skills
*must have strong leadership qualities and great interpersonal skills
*Emergency First Aid certification an asset

Public Relations and Marketing Duties: 
Greet and engage visitors in conversations about QAAW Theatre Society
Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to prepare and to assist in promotional tasks that encourage and inform the public on available theatre opportunities within QAAW
Collaborate with the Communications Committee to promote QAAW Theatre Society through social media, print media, phone conversations, radio, person to person communications, and to build and maintain the membership database

Summer Youth Theatre Day –Camp Leader Duties: 
Work with youth ages 8-12 (July 11–July 15) and youth ages 12-16 (July 18-July 29) as a leader, model, and teacher in the “Page to Stage” Summer Youth Theatre Camp Program
Plan, rehearse, and execute educational activities and games relating to personal theatrical skill development and live-theatre productions

Assist in the development and planning of the rehearsal process, culminating with a theatrical performance; one production for youth ages- 8-12 and one production for youth ages 12-16 on the last day of the camp

Assist in the production and presentation of the play

Additional Requirements: 
A final report summarizing all the activities and objectives of the employment, as well as the outcomes resulting from the work done with QAAW
Organizing fundraising initiatives
Piano, RCM Grade 8 or equivalent an asset
